About

APT 929 develops and produces film and theater. Established by Clark Middleton in 2004, APT 929 is dedicated to legacy of actor and writer Joe Chaiken. 929 was his apartment # at the Westbeth in Greenwich Village, NYC. Since 2008, Clark and Elissa have run APT 929 out of Torn Page in Chelsea, NYC. Programming has and continues to include hosted readings, performances, and screenings, as well as original plays and short films.

Clark teaches acting classes and coaches privately through APT 929. Since 1991, Clark has taught at the William Esper Studio, Circle Rep, and SoCaPA in New York. We are thrilled to announce APT 929’s expansion to Los Angeles, where we hold classes and build upon the work (and play) of our vibrant NYC community - comprised of emerging and established directors and writers, actors and students.
